Storms, Gusty Winds Hit Nellore; Power Outages Reported

Nellore: Thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds, lightning and heavy rain hit many parts of SPSR Nellore district, including Nellore city, on Sunday evening, disrupting normal life.

The sudden weather change came after a scorching day in which dark clouds quickly gathered before gusty winds and heavy rain lashed the region.

Many regions were plunged into darkness due to trees being uprooted and power cables breaking in some places. As a precaution, the electricity ministry cut off power supply in some areas to prevent further damage.

Although the wind later eased, outages continued to occur in many neighborhoods, and the rain lasted for more than an hour.
