Rayanapadu Amrit Bharat railway station to be inaugurated soon

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon inaugurate the renovated Rayanapadu railway station under the Amrit Bharat Station Plan.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM Infrastructure) PE Edwin said that Indian Railways has redeveloped the station in the first phase of the program at a cost of ₹ 19.90 crore.
“Waiting lounges, ample circulation space, reservation and booking counters, separate facilities for divyangjan passengers, modular toilets, drinking water and other amenities have been provided at Rayanapadu station,” Mr. Edwin said after reviewing the first phase works along with divisional engineer (East) Mayank Upadhyay.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager B. Prasantha Kumar said Rayanapadu station is one of the 21 stations developed under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme in the Vijayawada division.
“The second and third platforms at Rayanapadu station will be developed in the second phase of the scheme. Plans are being prepared to increase connectivity to Gannavaram, Gunadala and Kondapalli railway stations to reduce the load on the Vijayawada railway station,” said senior DCM.
Public relations officer Nusrat M. Mandrupkar said that South Central Railway (SCR) officials are in talks with the State government to improve transportation and other facilities at Rayanapadu, Gannavaram and Gunadala railway stations.
