Kyle Walker: Burnley defender retires from international football after winning 96 caps for England

Experienced England defender Kyle Walker has retired from international football with immediate effect.

The 35-year-old Burnley full-back has decided to take a break from his career after making 96 appearances for the Three Lions and appearing in five major tournaments.

Walker won the last of these caps in a friendly against Senegal at the City Ground in June 2025.

“I’m sorry to have made this decision, but I’m also proud of what we’ve achieved with England,” he said.
