Netflix Eyeline Facility Opens in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday welcomed Netflix and the Eyeline Studios facility to Hyderabad and said the partnership reflects the state’s growing role in shaping the future of global entertainment.
Speaking at the launch event, the Prime Minister said Hyderabad is a natural home for Netflix and noted that both have evolved as global success stories with a common vision of connecting talent and opportunities across the world.
“Netflix wants to entertain the world, we want to enrich the world. Both Netflix and Hyderabad respect all cultures and welcome people from all over the world,” he said.
Reddy described both Netflix and Hyderabad as gateways connecting talent and opportunities globally. He said the collaboration will help showcase Telangana’s culture, heritage and stories to international audiences.
Highlighting Hyderabad’s transformation over time, the Prime Minister said the city has embraced change and innovation since the Nizams’ era until it became a vibrant global hub. He drew parallels with Netflix’s evolution from a DVD rental company to a global OTT and media powerhouse.
“Hyderabad connects opportunities and talent globally, while Netflix aggregates content and talent from around the world for audiences around the world,” he said.
The Prime Minister also noted that Netflix has increased its focus on sports content in recent times and said Telangana has similarly prioritized sports development by building modern infrastructure, establishing a sports university and promoting sports talent.
Reddy said the collaboration represents a “global” partnership that blends global reach with local identity.
“When two great institutions with similar values come together, the result is success,” he said.
Welcoming Netflix and Eyeline Studios on behalf of the state government and the people of Telangana, Reddy assured full support to the company’s operations in the state.
He added that the initiative demonstrates the growing importance of India and Telangana in the global entertainment ecosystem.
“We will leave a mark on the future together,” he said.
