Domestic liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) customers had difficulty successfully placing refill orders for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
Sources in the oil industry claimed that panic booking by households was the main reason for this, adding that customers of three public sector oil companies – IOC, BPCL and HPCL – were facing difficulties. The sudden increase in bookings far exceeded the capacity the system could handle, causing strain, frustration and shock in households.
