Trump confirms US ‘bombing raid’ on Iran ‘most powerful in history’ | US | News

Donald Trump announced that the US had ‘destroyed’ all military targets on the Iranian island in “one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East”.
The US President confirmed the attack in a post on the Truth Social site on Friday evening, March 13. He claimed that his country’s forces had removed what he called “Iran’s crown jewel.”
He added that the US did not strike the island’s oil infrastructure “out of integrity.”
Kharg is a small Iranian island in the northern Persian Gulf, about five miles long and two and a half miles wide. It serves as the terminal for almost all oil exports.
Until this attack, it was not affected by US and Israeli attacks.
His post reads: “A few minutes ago, United States Central Command, under my direction, carried out one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, completely destroying all MILITARY targets on the jewel of Iran, Kharg Island.
“Our weapons are the most powerful and advanced the world has ever known, but in the interest of integrity I have chosen not to destroy the Oil Infrastructure on the Island.
“However, if Iran or anyone else does anything to interfere with the Free and Safe Passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision.
“During my First Term and currently, I have built our Military into by far the Most Lethal, Powerful and Effective Force anywhere in the world. Iran has NO ability to defend anything we want to attack – There is nothing they can do about it!”
“Iran will NEVER have nuclear weapons and the ability to threaten the United States, the Middle East, or by extension the Earth! The Iranian Army and all others involved in this Terrorist Regime would be wise to lay down their weapons and save what is left of their country (which is not much)!”
In an interview broadcast by Fox News on Friday morning, the president claimed that seizing the island of Kharg was “not high on the list.”
But Trump continued: “Who would ask such a question and what fool would answer it?” he said. “Suppose I was going to do it or not, why would I say it?”
The interview was recorded on Thursday evening.
