Man’s body found in Coventry park’s wheelie bin | UK | News

The body of a man was found in a wheelie bin in a park in England, police said. West Midlands Police has issued an urgent appeal for information after a member of the public made the distressing discovery in Coventry City Council’s green-lidded wheelie bin. The man was found dead in Cash’s Park off Daimler Road around 5pm on March 13.
Police said the man has not yet been identified but is believed to be between 40 and 50 years old. West Midlands Police are currently working with Coventry local authority to establish where the bin was moved from. Police are conducting an urgent investigation to determine the man’s identity and how he died and believe he may have been hit by a vehicle before being transported.
Police officers remained at the scene on Saturday to conduct investigations.
Det Ch Insp Phil Poole, from our Major Crime Unit, said: “We keep an open mind but believe this man was hit by a vehicle and then taken to the park.
“I would like to hear urgently from anyone who believes they may have hit someone in their car yesterday, or who noticed a change in behavior of someone they know who was driving, or who noticed damage to a vehicle.
“It is vital that we track down that person as quickly as possible so we can tell what happened.
“If anyone in the area has noticed their green lidded wheelie bin being stolen, I would like to hear from them too.”
Anyone with information or who has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area is asked to contact police via 101, quoting log 4148 of 13 March.
