Nepali Couple Steal Valuables Worth Rs 2 crore

Hyderabad: A Nepali couple stole valuables worth Rs 2 crore from their employer’s house in Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad on Saturday night. Anirudh Reddy and his wife, residents of Road No. 25 in Jubilee Hills, filed a complaint against the Nepali couple whom they had hired as servants in their home.
The Nepali couple managed to enter Anirudh’s house after being hired as domestic help around 45 days ago. The duo quickly completed their duties and gained the trust of their owners.
On Saturday night, while Anirudh Reddy and his wife were sleeping, the Nepali couple broke into the cupboard and made off with gold jewelery and foreign watches. The couple, who saw the closet open on Sunday morning, filed a complaint with the police.
The police launched an investigation into the incident. CCTV footage is examined in detail to obtain clues. Information on Nepalese citizens was sent to police stations outside the city. Police have advised employers to verify the Aadhaar cards of maids and domestic workers before hiring them.
