Collingwood Magpies great Scott Pendlebury escapes without a ban from the AFL Tribunal
Scott Pendlebury’s exemplary record in AFL football over two decades came to fruition after the Collingwood superstar was suspended in court on Tuesday night over a rough conduct charge stemming from the weekend clash with Adelaide.
Pendlebury, who has evaded the AFL Tribunal since his AFL career began in 2006, was fined $3000 for hitting Crows opponent Josh Worrall at the MCG on Saturday night.

After more than 50 minutes of deliberations, presiding judge Jeff Gleeson KC said Pendlebury did not deserve to be suspended.
“As a midfielder who has participated in thousands of competitions throughout his career, to have played 427 games of AFL football and never received a suspension is clearly exceptional when compared to the entire history of VFL/AFL players.” said Gleeson.
