Rajasthan public service body to have 10 members; early promotions facilitated

On Monday, July 14, 2025, the Rajasthan Cabinet decided to increase the number of members in the State Public Service Commission from the current seven to 10 and facilitate the early promotion of government employees. Changes in service rules will relax the desired experience for promotions for two years.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel said that after the cabinet meeting, the creation of three more tasks on the RPSC would increase its efficiency and provide a “trouble -free and effective” function. RPSC regulations dated 1974 will be changed for this purpose.
RPSC’s request for reconstruction was brought to the agenda several times and questions about the reliability of the continuous paper leaks in the recruitment exams were brought to the agenda. The government of the Bharatiya Janata Party recently appointed the former Police General Manager Utkal Ranjan Sahoo as the president of the commission.
Mr. Patel, the state cabinet in 2025-26 years to give promotions to government employees decided to give a two-year relaxation period, he said. “In the last two years, personnel who do not demand this will be relieved, but no employees will be appropriate. The three ministers announced the various decisions of the cabinet on new policies in different sectors, developed Rajasthan as a global medical tourism center, and attracted investments in the career development plan and energy sector for university teachers.
The state cabinet has approved the state cabinet’s medical value travel policy that would help the state as a “accessible, cost -effective and reliable” arrival point. Mr. Patel said that policy will encourage economic growth, employment production and global branding by integrating the health and tourism sectors.
At the cabinet meeting, the new district policy, city gas distribution policy and three joint venture companies in the energy sector were approved. Mr. Patel, an amendment to the integrated clean energy policy approved by the cabinet, said that investors will get the land for their projects signed at the rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.
