Manchester Airport: Fire crews rush to plane after emergency as runway closed | UK | News

Manchester Airport’s runway was briefly closed following an emergency involving a Ryanair flight. According to the information obtained, operations were stopped for 7 minutes while emergency teams intervened.
A spokesman for Manchester Airport said the plane experienced a problem during loading which caused a fuel leak. Officials added that a fire truck was on hand to make sure the plane was safe before it was moved to the stand.
However, the problem was quickly resolved and operations were halted while the aircraft was moved on the tarmac. Operations on the runway have resumed.
