NSW south coast robbery and carjacking: Man shot at hotel as suspect threatens people, steals cash; police launch probe

NSW Robbery News: An armed robbery and carjacking has emerged on the NSW south coast, where a 31-year-old man was reportedly shot at a hotel overnight. Following the incident, emergency crews were called to a hotel on Campbell Street in Narooma at around 10.30pm, 9News reported.

It was stated that the injured person was treated at the scene and taken to Moruya Hospital and his condition was stable. Police were told an unidentified man entered the hotel and shot the man before stealing the money, 9News reported.

The suspected robber allegedly threatened people at the hotel and demanded more money before fleeing the hotel. Police were told the man approached a 17-year-old driver in a Toyota Land Cruiser in a nearby parking lot and then demanded the teenager get out of the car, threatening him with a gun. The unidentified person left the scene by car.
The car was reportedly found burnt out on the Princes Highway in Narooma a short time later. While the fire was extinguished in a short time, the investigation into the matter continues.
