Delta announces nonstop flights to 2 new destinations from Austin this year

Delta Air Lines will launch and expand new nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to Phoenix seasonal service It will head to Bozeman, Montana, the carrier announced Friday.
The Atlanta-based airline will begin twice-daily flights between Austin and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Nov. 9, joining three other carriers on the route — Southwest, American and Frontier airlines.
Delta was already set to fly weekly to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport It will start from June 13, but will now offer daily service from December 19 to March 28, during the peak ski season. It will be the only carrier offering non-stop service between Austin and Bozeman.
Delta Connection will operate both new routes Embrace 175 Regional jets for up to 76 seats, Wi-Fi and in-seat power outlets.
“Austin continues to be an important and growing city for Delta,” Delta vice president Amy Martin said in a news release. “By adding service to Phoenix and expanding our Bozeman route into the winter season, we are providing our customers in Austin with greater access to the most in-demand destinations while strengthening connections to key commercial markets in the West.”
Delta actively growing its presence in Austin. In addition to its Phoenix and Bozeman routes, it plans to add flights to Asheville, North Carolina, this year; Columbus, Ohio; Kalispell, Montana; and Kansas City, Missouri. It started its operations last year first international service Austin to Cancun and Cabo San Lucas.
By summer, Delta expects to operate 63 peak-day trips from Austin, five more than in summer 2025. The airline ranked No. 2 behind Southwest in the Austin market last year, carrying 3.8 million passengers.
The airline also opened a flight attendant base in Austin in October and expects to control 15 gates when the major expansion at Austin-Bergstrom is completed in the early 2030s.
