Popular UK porridge brand issues recall over mice contamination fears

British porridge and oat drink brand Moma has issued an urgent warning about some of its products following concerns about possible mouse contamination at its production facility. The recall affects seven oat containers and two porridge bags.

Customers are told not to eat the affected products and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) confirmed the recall, stating: “Moma Foods is recalling various porridge pots and sachet products due to possible mouse contamination at the production facility.” He added: “These products may contain mouse contamination, making them unsafe to eat.”

The recalled porridge cups include almond butter and salted caramel, apple, cinnamon and brown sugar, banana and peanut butter protein, blueberry and vanilla, cranberry and raisin, golden syrup and simple no-added sugar varieties.

Also affected are almond butter and salted caramel, as well as porridge bags with apples, cinnamon and brown sugar.
