Karur Congress MP Jothimani on Friday accused the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) leadership of not being transparent in seat-sharing talks with the DMK for the Assembly elections.
He said in X that Congress leaders should understand the sentiments of the party cadre and this alone will facilitate the growth of the party. “We are completely disappointed and disgusted,” he said.
The MP was upset over reports that the party would not be able to win the Vedasandur Assembly Constituency. “We have worked hard there over the years. But when the Congress candidate takes the seat, there will be joy everywhere,” he said.
BJP cadre is very upset
Meanwhile, some BJP cadres decided to close the road for a short time in Palani of Dindigul district on Friday evening. On learning that the Palani Assembly Constituency from the NDA front was not allotted to them, the cadre staged a demonstration in the city, shouting slogans.
The BJP top leadership should have captured all Assembly constituencies where famous shrines are located. Like Palani, Thirupparankundram constituency in Madurai is also retained by the AIADMK, they said.
