Snow maps show blizzards hitting England, Scotland, and Wales in hours | Weather | News

Parts of the UK are likely to wake up to surprise snow as the latest weather maps show the blizzard will hit parts of the country within hours. According to WXCharts weather maps, wintry conditions will hit areas in England, Scotland and Wales around 12 noon on Saturday, March 28, with temperature levels dropping to -2C.
Weather maps show that most parts of Scotland will be covered in snow. Maps suggested layers of snow could be encountered in areas around Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow, Inverness, Fort Williams and Wick. Maps show other areas such as Birmingham, Gloucester, Swindon and Cardiff will also experience showers.
Temperature levels in Scotland could drop to -2C on Saturday, while parts of England and Wales could drop to 2C, according to weather maps.
Meteorology announced the weather conditions in its forecast for tonight and Saturday. The statement said: “Any sustained rain will clear the south-east. Elsewhere snowfall will occur. Persistent rain and hill snow will then reach Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England. Clear weather will be followed by a patchy frost.
“Saturday may see sunny skies and showers, some heavy and wintry, with hail, snow overhead and isolated thunderstorms. Then longer showers for England and Wales. Windy and stormy, feeling colder than Friday.”
Netweather.tv’s Jo Farrow wrote on her weather blog: “Frontal rain will clear across London and Kent in the evening, but cloud will linger over the south-east of England. “The rest of England and Wales will be clear, with a risk of frost due to falling temperatures and light winds.
“The Icelandic low will be in the north of Scotland, bringing a series of heavier showers with a wintry mix, including snow on the hills. It will be windy for a period overnight for Scotland and Northern Ireland, with fresh south-westerly winds diverting to the cold W/NW. Temperatures will drop in the north, reaching around -2C to +3C inland.
“On Saturday, the wind will feel cool with this cool weather. There will be showers, hail and strong winds in places. In some areas, showers will be missed and bright or sunny weather will continue. Don’t be fooled, the weather will be cold in that wind.
“The moving pattern over northwestern Europe looks familiar as we see another repeat. High pressure tries to build up on Saturday night, calming the weather briefly, but a new Atlantic low pressure will roll over from the northwest and bring wind and rain. Winds will ease with showers tapering off during the first part of Saturday night with frost. High clouds will move in from the Atlantic but southern Britain will be dry, calm and cold until Sunday morning.”
