NATO chief’s 100% tariff warning for India, China and Brazil over oil and gas trade with Russia

Trump has published a 50 -day deadline for Vladimir Putin to make a peace agreement with Ukraine and end the four -year war.
In a harsh warning on Wednesday, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the Alliance will apply ‘100% secondary sanctions’ to those who continue to trade gas and oil with Vladimir Putin’s Russia. Rutte, changing the changing position of US President Donald Trump in the Russian-Ukraine conflict, “If you are the President of China or the President of Brazil and are still trading with the Russians and buy oil and gases, I will impose 100%secondary sanctions.” He said.
Rutte made these comments after a meeting with US President Donald Trump, who recently expressed his dissatisfaction and unhappiness with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump gave Vladimir Putin 50 days to implement a peace agreement with Ukraine and ended a four -year conflict after his meeting with Rutte.
In an interview with journalists on Tuesday, the NATO President threatened to apply 100% tariffs and secondary sanctions to the consumers of Russian goods unless there was a peace agreement within the next 50 days.
“I don’t encourage these three countries, especially if you live in Beijing or Delhi, or if you’re the president of Brazil, you may want to take a look at it, because it can hit you a lot,” Rutte said.
Rutte called on China, India and Brazil or BRICS to make a “phone call to Putin”.
“Tell him that he must become serious about peace talks, otherwise it will return to Brazil, India and China.”
Trump has never mentioned China, India or Brazil before the conflict in Ukraine. However, the US President threatened sanctions against countries doing business with Russia. In addition, a bill that guarantees a 500 percent tariff in trade countries with Moscow is currently pushed by US senators.
The latest warning for Brazil, China and India is following more tax threats against US President Trump’s “anti -American policies” for BRICS nations.
