Four killed, several injured in Russian drone attacks

At least four people died in Russian drone attacks, including on a maternity hospital in the Black Sea city of Odessa.

Two men were killed in the city of Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine’s southern Dnipropetrovsk region, according to the local military administration. Two people were also injured and there was damage and fire at an industrial facility.

While one person died in a drone attack in the central Poltava region of Ukraine, authorities in Odessa reported that one person died and 11 people were injured following the Russian attack.

“The enemy has once again attacked the city’s civilian infrastructure,” said Serhiy Lysak, head of Odessa’s military administration.

The Ukrainian president added that he met with the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and agreed on cooperation in the field of security and defense.

“Our teams will finalize the details,” Zelenskiy said on the Telegram application.

Meanwhile, authorities in various regions of Russia reported the resumption of large-scale Ukrainian drone attacks. Governor Mikhail Yevraev wrote that a child was killed in a house in the Yaroslavl region.

The seriously injured mother and father were taken to the hospital. A woman living next door was also injured.

Their attacks also occurred in Chapayevsk in Ukraine’s southern Samara region; Here, among other targets, a facility vital for missile production was also hit.

The Moscow Ministry of Defense reported that a total of 155 Ukrainian drone attacks were repelled, including in the Tver, Belgorod and Kursk regions.

The ministry did not provide any details about the attack, damage or casualties, as it usually does in its daily military bulletins.

Ukraine has stepped up drone strikes inside Russia in recent months in response to President Vladimir Putin’s ongoing large-scale invasion order in February 2022.
