Bristol LIVE: Police helicopter, air ambulance in sky as school locked down after incident | UK | News
A police helicopter was spotted over East Bristol as an air ambulance landed in a park amid an ongoing incident. The air ambulance took off from Barton Fields, near Speedwell, and landed at Southmead Hospital just before 2.30pm on Wednesday. A witness wrote on Facebook that police also cordoned off the section of New Queen Street between Speedwell Road and Two Mile Hill.
According to BristolLive, police were seen at the scene as the police cordon remained in place. There is also a police helicopter that travels between Fishponds, Kingswood and Eastville and remains airborne for at least half an hour. The nature of the incident is not yet known. The Express has contacted Avon and Somerset Police for further information.
