Class IX Student Dies Of Electrocution In Salur Mandal

A 14-year-old boy died of electrocution after coming into contact with an electric wire while trying to climb a boundary wall under Salur mandal at Mamidipally in Parvathipuram Manyam district on Saturday.
The late K. Dileep studied in the IX class of a government school in Mamidipally. He was a first grade student. According to the information obtained, he went to an open area with his two friends in the afternoon. He then entered by climbing the boundary wall of a nearby banana grove.
On the way back, he was unable to climb back and tried to use a pump set’s electrical panel for support. Meanwhile, he came into contact with a live wire and received an electric shock.
Teachers and students took him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Woman who killed her husband in Anakapalle was arrested
Anakapalle district police on Saturday arrested K. Parameswari for killing her husband Paripalli on April 1 in Kunchavanipalem under Munagapaka mandal.
Police said the suspect confessed to strangling her husband and claimed that he had been abusing her under the influence of alcohol for years.
FSSAI found adulteration in 9 milk samples
Despite 16 deaths linked to adulterated milk near Rajamahendravaram, the threat continues in East Godavari district.
FSSAI officials collected 190 milk samples from vendors and traders; Nine of these were found to be mixed with substances such as detergent, urea and starch.
District collector Keerthi Chekuri expressed concern and warned traders of stringent measures. He instructed officials to conduct surprise inspections and file cases against those who violated the rules.
He also said that unauthorized traders must register with FSSAI, failing which a fine of ₹ 5 lakh will be imposed.
One person drowned, two went missing in Godavari river
A youth died and two others went missing after drowning in the Godavari River near Pichuka Lanka in Atreyapuram mandal of Konaseema district on Saturday.
Police said four youths from Rajamahendravaram entered the river for swimming. While 3 of them were dragged away due to the deep water, 1 person managed to reach the shore.
The body of Sheikh Bilal (29) was found. The search for the other two missing people continues. Police registered a case.
Fake ACB officer arrested for defrauding Tahsildar of 50 lakh rupees
Sri Sathya Sai district police arrested a man for allegedly impersonating an ACB officer and extorting ₹50 lakh from a Tahsildar by threatening to file a corruption case.
The accused, Erukala Hanumanthu of Kalagallu village of Kuderu mandal, reportedly posed as an Anti-Corruption Bureau official in 2021 and contacted Tahsildar Anwar Hussain and demanded money.
Even though a lawsuit had been filed before, the defendant was running away. Acting on the instructions of SP S Satish Kumar, a special team led by CI Shivaramudu tracked him down and arrested him.
Police said further investigations were ongoing.
