Missing F-15 Crew Member Found Alive; No Official Confirmation

Washington DC: A US F-15 crew member who went missing after Iran shot down the jet during the West Asian conflict has been found alive, according to former US Special Forces personnel and journalist Jack Murphy.

In his post about However, there has been no official confirmation of this claim yet.

Al Jazeera, citing a US government official, also reported that the crew member was rescued after an “intense firefight”. Both US and Iranian forces were conducting search efforts to find the missing person.

According to CNN, Iranian tribes reportedly opened fire on American helicopters during these operations. The incident occurred in the remote mountainous regions of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces, as well as in the Bakhtiari region. Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that local groups targeted two Black Hawk helicopters on Saturday.

Following the clash, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) praised the tribal groups, calling them “brave, valiant and victorious protectors of the borders,” CNN reported.

This comes after footage emerged showing nomadic Bakhtiari tribes patrolling mountainous terrain in Khuzestan province while searching for American personnel. In the video, one person can be heard saying, “I hope he is found.”

Iranian authorities have reportedly announced financial rewards to encourage the capture of the missing crew member.

Previously, US President Donald Trump declined to comment on possible US actions if the airmen were harmed or captured. “I can’t comment on that because we hope it doesn’t happen,” he told The Independent.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed to have destroyed an MQ-9 Reaper drone in the center of Isfahan, Fars News Agency reported.
