Courtney Lawes set to leave Brive at the end of the season and return to England

“I’m having an experience at Brive that I’ll never forget, both on and off the field,” Lawes said.

“I will give everything until the end of the season to end this adventure with CAB in the best possible way.”

Brive chairman Thierry Blandinieres said Lawes came to the club with “humility and ambition” and had “shown the full extent of his talent from day one”.

Lawes made his first England cap in 2009 and played in the 2011, 2015 and 2019 tournaments, as well as the 2023 World Cup.
