One Piece Season 3 ‘The Battle of Alabasta’ trailer out: Release date, plot, cast and all key details

Netflix’s first trailer has been released One Piece Season 3 titled Battle of AlabastaIt tells a high-stakes story full of conflict, politics and emotional choices for the Straw Hat crew.

The next season shifts the story to the desert kingdom of Alabasta, where Monkey D. Luffy and his crew find themselves in the middle of a growing national crisis. Princess Vivi’s homeland is on the brink of collapse as a rebellion spreads throughout the kingdom. Behind the chaos is Sir Crocodile, one of the powerful Warlords of the Sea, who is secretly orchestrating events through his criminal network Baroque Works in an attempt to seize control of Alabasta. As tensions mount, the Straw Hats must step into a dangerous conflict to protect Vivi and prevent the kingdom from falling apart.

Season 3 will adapt the iconic Alabasta plot from the manga created by Eiichiro Oda. Picking up from the end of Season 2, when the crew agreed to help Vivi, the new season places them in a politically charged environment filled with shifting loyalties and looming wars.

Production on the series began in Cape Town, South Africa, in November 2025. Netflix gave the green light to the third season months ago, signaling strong confidence in the live-action adaptation.


In the new season, Bon Clay (played by Cole Escola), Portgas D. Ace (Xolo Maridueña), Mr. It will feature fan-favorite characters like No. 1 (Awdo Awdo) and Miss Doublefinger (Daisy Head). Returning cast includes Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra.
The story is expected to span approximately 63 chapters of the manga over eight episodes; making it one of the most comprehensive stories ever adapted and a major turning point in the Straw Hats’ journey. Behind the scenes, Ian Stokes joins Joe Tracz as co-showrunner, writer and executive producer for Season 3. Eiichiro Oda also remains closely involved as executive producer alongside Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe and Steven Maeda.

According to Netflix, One Piece Season 3 will air in 2027.
