Census 2027: Self-enumeration facility availed by 5.72 lakh households so far in first phase

More than 5.72 lakh households have benefited from the self-enumeration facility so far in the first phase of Census 2027, the Registrar General of India (RGI) said on Friday, April 10, 2026.
This reflects increased participation in the Census’ digital initiative, it said.
