Katy Perry hits back at Ruby Rose’s ‘dangerous and reckless lies’ as she denies explosive claims she sexually assaulted the actress in her early 20s

Katy Perry responded to the ‘dangerous and reckless lies’ of Ruby Rose, who denied allegations that he sexually assaulted her.
In his social media post, the 40-year-old actor claimed that the incident he had with the 41-year-old singer took place in a nightclub in Melbourne when he was in his 20s.
Ruby added that it had taken her ‘almost two decades’ to talk about this issue publicly.
However, a representative for Katy responded to Ruby’s comments in a statement to the Daily Mail, saying: ‘Ruby Rose’s claims about Katy Perry circulating on social media are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies.
‘Ms Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations against various individuals on social media, which have been repeatedly denied by those named.’
The allegations were expressed in a post shared on Threads, Ruby wrote: ‘Katy Perry sexually assaulted me at Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne. ‘Who says what he thinks?’
He added: ‘I was only in my early 20s. I am 40 years old now. It took almost two decades to say this publicly.
‘While I’m so grateful that I was able to hold out long enough to find my voice, it shows just how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault can have. Thank you for accepting me.’

Ruby claimed the incident with the singer happened at a nightclub in Melbourne when she was in her twenties.
This isn’t the first time the Australian actress has publicly criticized Katy. He described the singer’s 2017 track Swish Swish as ‘poop with a purpose’.
However, Ruby backtracked on the comments a few days later, writing about X: ‘Being bad doesn’t suit me and makes me feel dirty.
‘The truth is, it’s leaving more leaks in your camp than the Titanic, and I get very excited when I think the bullies aren’t being held accountable, and it makes me think I should say something… but not this [my] place.’
Although Katy was previously considered one of the biggest pop stars in the world, she was apparently on a downward spiral and her latest music has failed to revive her career.
Last year, he was criticized for participating in the Blue Origin space flight with Jeff Bezos’ wife, Lauren Sanchez, and a public relations expert even suggested that the singer could be in danger of ‘ending his career’.
After the excitement of the space mission died down, Katy experienced heartbreak in her personal life as she split from fiancé Orlando Bloom.
Despite personal turmoil, she has performed on five continents on the Lifetimes Tour and is currently dating former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau.
Last year it was revealed he was seeking almost $5 million (£3.68 million) in a lawsuit against the disabled veteran who owns the $15 million (£11 million) Montecito, California home he bought more than five years ago.
Ruby made the accusation in response to a post about Katy’s reaction to Justin Bieber’s performance at Coachella.
The star bought the property from Carl Westcott in 2020, but within days the businessman, who founded 1-800-Flowers, tried to back out of the deal, claiming he was unable to function due to painkillers when he signed the paperwork.
Her backing out led to a legal battle over the sale of the property, and the judge ruled in Katy’s favour.
And now the singer has asked the court to force Westcott to pay $4,718,698.95 to account for damages he says he caused due to protracted litigation over the sale of the estate.
Ruby first rose to fame after starring in the Netflix series Orange Is The New Black, and later appeared on The CW Network’s Batwoman for just one season.
The actor claimed he was subjected to poor working conditions on the show and said former Warner Bros. Television chairman Peter Roth “forced” him to return to work after surgery for a neck injury and hired a private investigator to dig up dirt on him.
Ruby also lashed out at Sydney Sweeney in September, blaming her for the box office debut disaster of her women’s boxing biopic Christy.
He also touched on the Euphoria actress’ Republican views, which made her a target for Left-leaning stars.
In her online tirade, Ruby said Sydney, whom she initially named ‘Cherry’ in the message, would eventually play Christy.
He said the original cast was almost entirely queer, before claiming Sydney ‘hates gays’.
