West Bengal polls 2026: What Trinamool, BJP, Congress, Left promise in their manifestos

West Bengal 2026 pollswith All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) And Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)) as the main rivals, they are shaping an intense rivalry in promising better governance. Across party lines, manifestos have become a primary means of engaging voters with aggressive promises on health, education, employment and social welfare policies.

The Trinamool Congress set an early tone by announcing monthly assistance of ₹ 1,500 to youth (aged 21-40). In response, the BJP upped the ante by promising ₹3,000 per month to unemployed youth. Meanwhile, the Congress has opted for a middle ground, promising monthly assistance of ₹ 2,000. Interestingly, the Left Front, led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), went for the social welfare justice scheme, offered the family a permanent job and filled all the vacant government positions within five years.
