Buckingham Palace releases sneak peak of King Charles’s speech | Royal | News

King Charles will deliver a heartfelt address to the nation tomorrow to mark the 100th birthday of the late Queen Elizabeth. While Buckingham Palace kept the content of the message secret, it published a frame from the broadcast shot in the Balmoral Castle library at the beginning of the month.
It is a fitting tribute that this moving message was captured at the late Queen’s favorite residence, where she died on 8 September 2022.
Standing in the corner of the room where hundreds of books are neatly stacked on shelves, Charles wears a gray suit and matching tie. There are two images clearly visible on the screen. One appears to be a photograph of the late Queen and the other a childhood drawing of the former monarch.
The full video will be released at midnight and will feature Queen Elizabeth II. It will be the beginning of events commemorating the 100th anniversary of Elizabeth’s birth.
To mark the anniversary, the King and Queen, along with Members of the Royal Family, will examine design proposals for the Queen Elizabeth Memorial at the British Museum before hosting a reception at Buckingham Palace. The Prince and Princess of Wales are also expected to attend.
The Princess Royal will also officially open the Queen Elizabeth II Garden in The Regent’s Park in London.
The King is expected to reflect on his mother’s truly remarkable reign, which saw her become Britain’s longest-serving monarch.
He was a constant throughout a period of unprecedented change, and people around the world looked to him for comfort and stability.
In his first speech as king, Charles said his mother’s death was “a moment of great sadness” for him and his family and that her loss would be “deeply felt” around the world.
He added: “We deeply mourn the passing of a valued ruler and much-loved mother.
“I know his loss will be deeply felt by countless people across the country, the realm, the Commonwealth and the world.”
