M&S introduces £7.50 change in supermarkets today | UK | News

Marks and Spencer has taken selectives and mainstays to the next level with its new meal deal twist. The British retailer has added eight new products to its Gastropub Dine-In deal.

Designed for two people, the deal includes a main course, a side dish and a starter or dessert for just £15, so that’s just £7.50 per person. Shoppers save around £8.50 compared to buying these items separately.

Additionally, some of the ready-made dishes were created by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, including the English Pork and Mushroom Stroganoff, which consists of slow-cooked Heritage Gold pork shoulder marinated in a luxurious sauce of paprika, cream, mustard and French brandy, as well as sautéed mushrooms and small pieces of gherkins. This is just one of eight new items added to menus at M&S Foodhalls across the country.

For main courses, there’s also British Pork from Somerset Cider & Apple, Tom Kerridge’s Bombay Potato & Lentil Cottage Pie and Tom Kerridge’s British Beef Brisket Patties.

A new starter has been added to the menu: Pulled Pork Croquettes. New side dishes include Tom Kerridge’s Asparagus, Peas and Baby Potatoes, Fiery Mac and Cheese, and Tom Kerridge’s Buttery Potato and Caramelized Onion Bake.

Finally, he announced that he would reduce the prices of 15 products and ensure that families can access these products more easily. Fifteen essential fresh vegetables have been added to the Exceptional Value selection, and a further seven have been included in the Dropped and Locked initiative.

M&S Food MD Alex Freudmann said: “Families want to eat well without paying more, and vegetables are at the heart of weekly shopping. By reducing prices on everyday vegetable essentials, we’re doubling the size of M&S Food while making it easier for more families to shop at M&S as part of their weekly shopping.”

M&S has big expansion plans for the UK. Last year, it announced 500 locations it is aiming to open new stores in the UK as it plans to expand its presence and customer base.
