A former royal butler and former employee of King Charles says he believes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will send a gift to Prince Louis on his birthday.
Today (April 23) Louis turns eight; It’s a milestone that Kensington Palace marked with the release of a photo of the young royal. Prince Harry, 41, has reportedly had limited contact with his nieces and nephews since leaving the UK in 2020.
There have been assumptions in recent years, especially after the King was diagnosed with cancer, that the Duke of Sussex could rejoin the senior royal family, but this has yet to happen.
Lately Harry has been visiting the UK more often, even traveling further afield with trips to Ukraine, including this week.
Discussing how Harry and Meghan, 44, will celebrate Louis’ birthday, former royal butler Grant Harrold suggested the couple would send Louis gifts, but it wouldn’t come from Meghan’s range.

Speaking exclusively to Reach, Grant said: “I also think Harry and Meghan will send gifts or possibly vouchers too. “Hopefully it’s not something from Meghan’s new range, can you imagine?
“But in all seriousness, Harry was very close to his nieces and nephews. Despite everything that happened, the problems were never about the children, so I think the Sussexes will get to them one day.”
Regarding how William and Kate planned to celebrate their son’s birthday, Grant suggested that the couple throw a party that included Louis and his friends, as they were determined to ensure their child had an ordinary childhood.
She explained: “I think William and Kate will throw Louis a party with his friends, just like any other kid that age. They might invite some members of the family too, but the focus will be on the birthday boy having fun with his friends.”

“William and Harry always had friends’ parties when they were little, so I think it will be the same for this generation. Kate and William want their children to have a ‘normal’ childhood, and parties are just part of that.”
While the spotlight is firmly on Louis today, it is equally focused on Harry, who traveled to the Ukrainian capital Kiev and urged the world not to forget the country and its conflict against Russia.
“It’s nice to be back in Ukraine,” Harry told ITV following his arrival. He said he wanted to “remind people across the country and around the world what Ukraine is facing and support the people and partners who are doing extraordinary work every hour of every day in incredibly challenging circumstances.”
Harry also stated that Ukraine “bravely and successfully defended Europe’s eastern flank” and stressed that “it is important that we do not lose sight of the importance of this.”
