Investment boss appears in court after ‘sending business partner and his wife thousands of emails’

The investment boss accused of sending thousands of e-mails to his former business partner and wife appeared in court today.

Simon Lyons, 45, and Farid Alizadeh, 45, founded Enstar Capital Ltd in 2004 and have worked on developments worth £100 million.

In 2023, a Supreme Court judge granted an injunction under the Protection from Harassment Act prohibiting Mr Lyons from harassing Mr Alizadeh and his wife, 46-year-old Natasha Alizadeh.

Lyons is now accused of sending several thousands of emails between January 2024 and March 2025.

Lyons, who represented himself, appeared at Southwark Crown Court wearing a black shirt and chinos.

The trial of the defendant, who previously denied the charge of violating a measure punishable by up to five years, will now be held on April 24, 2028.
