Mohamed Salah: Liverpool have to ‘wait and see’ how serious injury is

Salah was able to walk off the pitch without assistance but took his time, earning applause from all around Anfield.
Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 and won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup and two EFL Cups and the Community Shield title in an iconic career.
His 257 goals in 435 appearances for the Reds took him to third place on the club’s list of goalscorers, behind Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285).
Slot said he believes the fact that this could be the Egyptian’s last game for the club will be on his mind during his substitution.
“My honest answer is yes, the way it turned out,” Slot told Sky Sports.
“That’s been on his mind because he’s only got a few weeks left but we’re hoping he can play for us again.
“There are tests you need to do and then we have to wait for the prognosis.”
Any problems could rule Salah out of Liverpool’s final game away against rivals Manchester United next Sunday. He scored 16 goals in 18 games against United for Liverpool.
After that, Liverpool will host Chelsea on May 9 and travel to Aston Villa before the end of the season against Brentford on May 17.
