Social media influencer dies six days after car hit her outside London nightclub | UK news

A social media influencer died six days after she and other pedestrians were hit by a car outside a London nightclub, police said.
Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, was injured in Soho’s Argyll Street at around 4.30am on April 19 and was pronounced dead on Saturday.
A 58-year-old man suffered life-changing injuries in the incident.
Gabrielle Carrington, a former X Factor finalist, appeared in court on Tuesday accused of trying to kill Zakrzewska outside Inca nightclub.
The metropolitan police said the charge of attempted murder would be upgraded to murder after Zakrzewska’s death.
Zakrzewska was a TikTok and Instagram influencer from Essex who went by the pseudonym Klaudiaglam.
Carrington, 29, of Broadfield Road, Manchester, is charged with dangerous driving, being nearly twice the drink-drive limit and causing injuries to two other people – a third woman and a security guard – who his Mercedes allegedly hit.
DCI Alison Foxwell, who is leading the investigation, said: “We would like to express our deepest condolences to Klaudia’s family and friends in light of this tragic development.
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident.
“We recognize that this case has generated significant interest and discussion on social media, but we urge the public to avoid further speculation.”
Foxwell added: “We are also asking people not to share the graphic images out of respect for Klaudia’s loved ones and those injured.
“The circulation of such material could also undermine our ongoing criminal investigation and potentially undermine future court proceedings.”
Around £18,000 was crowdfunded for Zakrzewska’s treatment and her family’s legal fees.
The GoFundMe page, said to have been set up by his mother, said: “If at any time things take a turn for the worse, additional funds will go towards funeral costs and providing ongoing support to the family.”
Her mother, Kinga, said on the page: “Those who know me understand how much I love my daughter, what a special bond we have, and I cannot give up on my daughter.”
He added: “Anyone who knows my amazing daughter knows what a wonderful person she is. She touched so many people with her pure heart and kindness and deserves every chance to keep fighting.”
Carrington made it to the X Factor live finals in 2013 as one of three members of Miss Dynamix.
He appeared at Westminster magistrates’ court on 21 April and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 19 May.
