Joondalup bus stabbing victim in stable condition after being left for dead, another teenager charged
A 16-year-old bus passenger who was stabbed to death on Anzac Day in Joondalup is recovering in hospital as another teenager appeared in court over the incident.
The injured child was said to be in a stable condition while recovering at Royal Perth Hospital on Sunday.
The day before, he was allegedly dragged off a bus, stabbed and then left unconscious and in a critical condition.
Police said the incident occurred after a physical fight between the teenager and a group of teenagers on a Transperth bus traveling along Grand Boulevard.
The boy was allegedly stabbed with a knife and collapsed after getting off the bus with the group.
The victim was taken to Joondalup Health Campus before being transported to Royal Perth Hospital.
Police spent Saturday night investigating the scene, including shutting down part of Grand Boulevard as well as the bus, which had a door and some windows broken.

He made a brief appearance in Perth Children’s Court on Sunday and was bailed to reappear at a later date.
