George North: Wales great to retire at the end of the season

Wales great George North has announced that he will retire from professional rugby at the end of the season.

North, who turned 34 earlier this month, made 121 appearances and 47 tries for his country in 2024 before taking a break from his international career.

The winger or center also toured with the British and Irish Lions in 2013 and 2017, playing three Tests and scoring two tries.

Former Scarlets, Northampton Saints and Ospreys player North has spent the last two seasons playing for French second-tier club Provence.
