Green Party leader Zack Polanski condemned for retweet criticising hero police who took down Golders Green terrorist

Zack Polanski retweeted a post suggesting the heroic cops who disarmed the Golders Green terror suspect were incompetent.
The Green Party leader shared a tweet saying police officers were ‘violent’ against the man armed with a Taser who allegedly stabbed 34-year-old Shloime Rand and 76-year-old Moshe Shine.
Footage of the incident shows the suspect refusing to drop the knife after the attack started at a bus stop in North London. It is now considered terrorism.
The suspect, who is said to be British of Somali origin, was taken to the ground and arrested while carrying a knife and a backpack that the police did not know whether it carried explosives.
Speaking at the scene, Met Commissioner Mark Rowley described the attempted double murder as ‘an appalling act of violence’ and revealed that the motive was anti-Semitism. He also said the suspect had a ‘history of serious violence and mental health issues’.
In response, one online critic, later reposted by the Greens leader, said: ‘So essentially officers were repeatedly and violently kicking a mentally ill man in the head who was already incapacitated with a Taser.’
This led to accusations that Mr Polanski was ‘more concerned’ about the welfare of the suspected terrorist than those accused of stabbing him in the street.
Speaking from his hospital bed today, Mr Rand revealed how he was stabbed in the chest and claimed it was a ‘miracle’ that he survived.
But he also said he was holding on The Labor government was responsible and Sir Keir Starmer claimed his administration was ‘not doing its job’ in protecting Jewish people in the UK.

Zack Polanski retweeted a post suggesting the heroic cops who disarmed the Golders Green terrorist had a tough job.
Mr Polanski was criticized for retweeting a photo of himself speaking to activists and supporters during the Green Party Big Day Out on April 25
This message, which implied sympathy for the attacker, was later retweeted by Greens leader Zack Polanski, who also admitted that he wanted to be the next Prime Minister.
The Daily Mail asked Mr Polanski for comment.
Last night a party spokesman said of the attack: ‘This was a horrific act of anti-Semitic violence. Jewish people deserve security and belonging wherever they live, and we stand in solidarity with the British Jewish community.
‘Our thoughts go out to the victims and their loved ones and we express our gratitude to the emergency services, including Hatzola ambulances, for their rapid response.’
The party leader’s retweet sparked widespread criticism.
Conservative MP Neil O’Brien claimed: ‘The Greens’ sympathies are, as always, with the terrorist rather than with the brave police officers who stopped him.’
Labour’s Jonathan Hinder tweeted: ‘This makes a lot of sense. Polanski hates the brave cops who stopped this. He’s more worried about the anti-Semitic terrorist with the knife! Isn’t that right, Zack Polanski?’
Home Secretary Mike Tapp said he was “disgusted” and that “the Green Party has hit a new low”.
Labor MP David Taylor added: ‘Zack Polanski’s sympathy for a marauding anti-Semitic terrorist rather than his victims shows why the Green Party is so dangerous.
‘How can anyone watching this video from Golders Green not feel proud of the brave police officers fighting off the attacker who did not put down his knife?’
The Daily Mail revealed how members of Mr Polanski’s own family admitted they feared they would have to leave Britain if he became prime minister.
The comments came as the party debated a controversial motion at its spring conference that claimed ‘Zionism is racism’.
Under Mr. Polanski’s watch, the Greens have moved away from their traditional roots, attracting an army of alleged Islamists and far-left activists.
Born into a Jewish family in Salford, he repeatedly says he is ‘proud of my Jewish heritage’, but family members believe he puts his ambition and politics ahead of his community.
The Daily Mail spoke to three members of Mr Polanski’s extended family; None of these are speaking to him right now.
One of them said: ‘He is now the leader of Britain’s future Islamic party; “The Green Party is rapidly turning into this,” he said. ‘And there would be no place for Jews in Britain’s Islamic state.’
The Jewish Greens, of which Mr Polanski was once a member, said the motion was perceived as ‘an attack on the very fundamental right to desire to live a safe and secure life’.
The Campaign Against Antisemitism said the Green Party ‘not only tolerates but reinforces some of the worst rhetoric we have seen in British politics for a generation’.
Relatives said the only person in the Greens leader’s family who still spoke to him was his mother, Ava.
She is said to have told the wider family that although she did not agree with his policies, she loved him like a son and was proud of what he had achieved.
It came as the Met released bodycam footage of the moment police tasered the knife-wielding man to the ground in Golders Green and wrestled a knife out of his hand.
Met Police officers descended on the scene of the stabbing of two Jewish men in north London yesterday.
The Daily Mail understands the suspect is a British citizen born in Somalia and recognized under the Government’s Counter-Radicalisation scheme.
Two Jews, 76-year-old Moshe Shine and 34-year-old Shloime Rand, were hospitalized after what became a new terrorist attack in the heart of the Jewish community.
Mr Rand was stabbed in the chest and the blade narrowly missed vital organs; Mr Shine was stabbed in the neck at a bus stop just 400 meters away.
Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said officers arrested a 45-year-old suspect with “serious violent and mental health issues”.
Body camera footage of the terrifying incident shows the alleged attacker walking towards officers shortly after landing at the scene.
As officers back up, they can be heard ordering the alleged knifeman to ‘get down’ and step back as someone holds the pepper spray.
The alleged attacker then continues on his way, with one of the officers successfully firing a second Taser shot.
While one of the police officers managed to throw the knife, another police officer and bystanders took control of the man’s arm.

It comes as Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley praised police officers and Jewish community watchdog Shomrim for their bravery.
“My initial thoughts are about the two British Jews who were attacked while going about their daily lives, as they should have been able to do freely and safely in their local communities,” he said in a statement.
‘I would also like to express my gratitude to my officers who arrived at the scene within minutes and whose actions undoubtedly prevented further injuries and saved lives.
‘They are nothing short of extraordinary. They were confronted by a man they believed to be a terrorist, who refused to show his hands, became violent, and continued to pose an open threat.
‘These were not armed officers and they feared he was hiding an explosive device.
‘Using only their training, courage and stun guns, they detained him while he continued to attack and stab them. They will tell you they were just doing their job, but I dread to think what the outcome might have been without their courage. I also want to thank the volunteer first responders in the community, including Shomrim.’
He added: ‘Many Jews in this country feel they have to make choices that no British person should ever have to make, about how to dress, where to go or how visibly they live their lives.
‘This is completely unacceptable and has been going on for far too long. Let me be absolutely clear. We have seen an increase in racist and anti-Semitic hate crimes.
‘Although I cannot comment on live investigations, we know that some individuals have been encouraged, persuaded or paid to commit acts of violence on behalf of foreign organizations and hostile states.
‘If you act out of hatred, racism or antisemitism, we will come after you and you will suffer the consequences.’
Moshe Shine, 76, was one of two Jews stabbed in a terror attack in north London on Wednesday morning.
CCTV footage reportedly shows the moment Moshe Shine was stabbed while waiting for a bus
While both victims remain in hospital in stable condition, the police investigation into the terror-related incident continues.
It comes after Israel warned Sir Keir Starmer that antisemitism was a ‘national emergency’ following the attack in Golders Green.
Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis demanded ‘meaningful action’ and Donald Trump’s anti-Semitic czar said ‘enough is enough’ after the attack.
“An attack on our Jewish community is an attack on all of us,” Sir Keir said on Thursday morning.
“Last night we saw people being targeted because they were Jews, I’m absolutely clear on that,” the Prime Minister told a meeting with criminal justice agencies in Downing Street following the double stabbing in Golders Green on Wednesday.
‘There’s no escaping the fact that this isn’t a one-off.
‘This has been a series of attacks on our Jewish community, particularly in recent weeks, and obviously there is a very deep concern and anxiety about safety, security and identity.’
He added that “we need to understand the ‘gut feeling’ among many British Jews and be really clear that an attack on our Jewish community is an attack on all of us and we need to approach it that way.”
Sir Keir said solidarity with the Jewish community was often expressed after such attacks.
‘We stand with our Jewish community – of course we do – but this is also our fight. This is the struggle of everyone in this country.’
