A man from Louisiana is accused of killing a 72 -year -old woman and then trying to secure loans on behalf of her.
According to Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Office, 43 -year -old Christopher Taltoto Cater was tried this week for alleged crimes. He is accused of first -degree murder, identity theft and the illegal elimination of human remains.
Sacrifice Sheila Ortega reportedly lost by his family on August 20, 2023. Relatives said they had not heard from Ortega for a month.
