Allahabad HC dismisses plea seeking FIR against Rahul Gandhi over 2025 ‘fighting Indian State’ remark

The Allahabad High Court on Friday, May 1, 2026 dismissed a petition seeking registration of an FIR against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over a controversial remark in 2025.

Justice Vikram D Chauhan passed the order after hearing a petition filed by Simran Gupta, who challenged the Sambhal court’s dismissal of her request seeking a direction to lodge an FIR against Mr. Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
