Israel warns residents in southern Lebanon to evacuate

The Israeli army issued an urgent warning to residents of 11 towns and villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate their homes and move to open areas at least 1,000 meters away.
The military announced operations against Hezbollah on Sunday following what it described as a violation of the ceasefire agreement, warning that anyone close to Hezbollah fighters or facilities could be at risk.
Israel continues its attacks on southern Lebanon, and its soldiers have occupied a strip in the south of the country, destroying homes they describe as infrastructure used by Hezbollah.
The Iran-backed militant group has continued drone and rocket attacks against Israeli troops in Lebanon and northern Israel.
