Quakes off Russia’s Pacific coast spark tsunami warning

After two earthquakes, a tsunami warning was given for Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula – 7.4 magnitude larger – hit the nearby sea.
According to the US geology research, the larger earthquake hit 20 km deep on Sunday and was 144 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, which had a population of 180,000.
A few minutes ago, an earthquake of 6.7 magnitude was recorded nearby.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami warning for Russia and Hawaii after earthquakes, but since then it has been canceled.
The German Local Research Center showed more than 6.5 earthquakes near the Kamchatka coast in the Far East of Russia early on Sunday.
It measured the earthquakes in 6.6 and 6.7 and the depth of both at 10km.
Earthquake measurements usually vary in the first hours after the emergence.
They had no instant reports.
On November 4, 1952, a 9.0 -magnitude earthquake in Kamchatka caused damage, but there were no deaths reported in Hawaii, despite organizing 9.1 meters of waves.
