Tragedy as man and dog found dead inside van at St Austell | UK | News

A man and a dog were tragically found dead inside a van in a popular seaside town in England.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to a standby on the B3273, St Austell, at 3pm on Friday, May 1, after concerns grew.

When police found the bodies of a man and a dog on the property, relatives were notified.

Officers said although the incident is not being treated as suspicious, the investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances.

A file will be presented to the coroner.

The Daily Express has contacted Devon and Cornwall Police for a comment.

St Austell is a town in Cornwall known for its china clay history, coastal scenery and proximity to attractions such as the Eden Project.

It’s also the perfect base for exploring Cornwall’s south coast, where beaches, gardens, historic harbors and clay-covered landscapes are within easy reach.

St Austell is also home to many pubs, numerous high street retailers and numerous independent shops, many of which cater to tourists.

The town has a small museum located in the St Austell Market House.
