516 Cases Booked In Anti-Encroachment Drive

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri traffic police launched a special enforcement against footpath violations and carriageway obstructions, detecting 516 cases in Traffic Zone-I and collecting Rs 74,900 in fines.
The drive was carried out in Malkajgiri and Trimulgherry traffic divisions to ensure smooth pedestrian movement and avoid traffic congestion caused by illegal occupation of footpaths and roadsides. During the operation, authorities detected and removed violations by roadside vendors, unauthorized parking and other obstructions affecting traffic flow.
According to traffic police data, the highest number of violation cases were at Begumpet Traffic Police Station with 168 cases, followed by Gopalpuram with 110 cases and Alwal with 88 cases.
