South Korea introduced its first humanoid robot monk named Gabi. The robot monk was unveiled at a Buddhist ceremony in Seoul, marking a new intersection of technology and religion. According to The Korea Times, the robot participated in a traditional ceremony at Jogye Temple before the Buddha’s Birthday celebrations. The 130-centimeter-tall robot, developed on China’s Unitree G1 platform, wore a grey-brown Buddhist robe and performed ritual steps alongside monks.
