Reform’s home affairs spokesman said the local election results would be “absolute destruction” for Labor.
Zia Yusuf said: “These are the most important elections in the history of this country and I think they will have historic and extraordinary consequences for the Reformation.
“The reform shook the entire agenda in the local elections held last May. I think we will perform extremely well this time.
“I think the other important thing about this is that throughout our lives we are used to Labor or the Conservative Party winning a majority north of 40% of the vote in a general election.
“And I think now they’re going to struggle to get 40% of the vote between them and I don’t think they’re going to come back. “I think the Greens will add a lot to Labour.
“I think reform will do a lot of damage to the Labor Party.
“Keep an eye out for the areas in the Red Wall, which is the heart of the Labor Party. I think those areas will definitely turn turquoise. I think there will be a turquoise wave throughout that area.”
