Barack Obama insists that US Government isn’t hiding alien secrets

Barack Obama has rejected conspiracy theories claiming the US government is secretly hiding aliens.
The former US President addressed the long-running speculation during an appearance on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and emphatically denied the existence of any extraterrestrial cover-up behind closed doors.
Obama was grilled about a viral statement he made earlier this year suggesting aliens were “real,” sparking an online frenzy among UFO believers. But the former White House chief clarified that he did not mean that Earth had already made contact, but merely that life might exist somewhere in the vast universe.
Host Stephen Colbert joked that “nobody believes you” after Obama tried to explain the comment and pushed him to tell the truth.
Obama responded: “Here’s the thing: For those of you who still think we have the little green men huddled underground somewhere, one of the things you learn as president is that the government is terrible at keeping secrets.
“This idea of conspiracy theories, if there were aliens or spaceships or anything that we know of, that we’ve seen, that we’ve photographed that was under the control of the United States government… I promise you, a guy guarding the installation would take a selfie with one of the aliens and send it to his girlfriend to impress her. There would be leaks.”
Although he denied the rumors, Obama admitted that he would gladly take responsibility if humanity encounters extraterrestrials.
The former President said: “I think I would be a good ambassador for the planet at first contact.
“I have some experience in government administration and diplomacy. I’m friendly. So I think I could do a pretty good job.”
He then added bluntly: “But it hasn’t happened yet.”
Obama’s comments come as speculation about UFO disclosure continues to intensify in the United States.
Last week, President Donald Trump claimed the Pentagon was preparing to release “very interesting” UFO files, adding: “We’re going to release a lot of things we haven’t done.”
The growing interest in alien life has also been fueled by rumors surrounding Steven Spielberg’s upcoming movie, Revelation Day. This movie imagines how humanity would react if evidence of extraterrestrial life suddenly appeared.
But according to Obama, anyone expecting secret underground alien shelters may want to temper their expectations.
