No chairs wobbling in Karnataka; don’t know what PM is seeing: DK Shivakumar

“No chair is shaking in Karnataka. All the chairs are firm. I don’t know what the Prime Minister sees,” the DCM, who is also the KPCC President, told reporters at Lingasagur in Raichur district. he said.
He was responding to the Prime Minister’s statement that the CM chair is shaking in Karnataka and the same is happening in Kerala and Punjab.
When asked about the demise of Minister D Sudhakar, he said, “He should have been with us at the inauguration of Upper Bhadra. His illness prevented it. Whenever he met the Prime Minister or me, he would always appeal regarding development projects for the area. He belonged to the Jain community. Even though the community was small in number, he treated people from all communities with love and affection. He was a big-hearted man. His demise is a loss to our government and the constituency. I am personally deeply shocked.”
When asked about the debate in the Parliament regarding the drinking water problem, he said, “I am not aware of it. My Ministry gives priority to providing drinking water. I will talk about this issue with our civil servants and do whatever is necessary to solve the problem.”
Earlier on Saturday, Shivakumar said the Congress party’s decision to support TVK in Tamil Nadu was driven by the broader political objective of “keeping BJP forces out of power”.
Talking about Congress’ support to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), Shivakumar said, “Any decision taken by my party has been taken to keep BJP forces away from power, that is the only intention. After all, we want secular forces.” Meanwhile, actor-turned-politician Vijay officially took charge of the Tamil Nadu Secretariat at Fort George in Chennai, soon after being sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister of the state after securing a historic election victory for his party today.
