Maggie Sajak appears at Savannah Bananas game as Jackson Olson’s girlfriend, e-bike near death & MEAT!

Let’s kick off the Monday Screencaps with Wheel of Fortune heiress Maggie Sajak making it banana ball official with trickster Jackson Olson. Legacy Screencaps readers know that I’m a huge fan of Maggie’s, going back 5-6 years when, upon Vanna White’s retirement, I called for Pat to step Vanna White aside so that her daughter could get the job that was rightfully hers.

Instead, Vanna refused to retire, even when Pat hung up her work boots. From what I can tell, 31-year-old Maggie has been a good soldier as Vanna tries to figure out when to ride off into the sunset.

Why am I such a big Maggie fan? Because he could have turned into the toxic teammate who tried to push Boomer out the door, but he didn’t. She became a great teammate while being assigned social media duty on Wheel of Fortune.

And now he’s been rewarded by the locker room gods by finding a relationship with Banana ball heartbreaker Jackson Olson, widely considered one of the greatest trappers in the history of gimmick baseball. Let this be a lesson to all the toxic women out there. Be like Maggie.

PAT SAJAK’S DAUGHTER FOUND LOVE WITH VIRAL BASEBALL STAR AFTER ‘BOYFRIEND APPLICATION’

– Duncan gives us an update on the status of Banana Ball: 3 years ago my family won the lottery to watch the Savannah Bananas play at a minor league stadium. This was when they started to become popular, but nowhere near the level they are today. Unfortunately it rained during the match and we couldn’t see them. Fast forward today and I had free tickets from work. We left after the 5th inning. My kids love baseball, but the background of the game is constant music, teams dancing, festivities between innings, etc. There was. When we got home we all decided we were ready to leave after 2 shots. I really think they jumped the shark.

– Ron writes: If you want to put it out there, I have access to 5 extra tickets for the Bananas game in Eugene with a face value of $300.

Kinsey: I’m putting this here because the price of Bananas tickets surprised me. Is this really face value? $60 per ticket?

Paige was great with her fans in Charlotte

– Matt from Charlotte reports: Longtime reader of Screencaps. Funny you mentioned Paige on Truist this week. Wednesday was practice day/I took a day off for Pro Am. It was a pleasant surprise to see Paige play the 14th and 15th holes with Dell Curry, Seth Curry and SW Kim. It was great for the fans. We take selfies with everyone who wants. We add golf content for you. Keep up the good work.

The transfer portal isn’t just for high school sports, it will destroy your local high school just like I’ve been screaming for the last two years.

From the Wall Street Journal: Young people in Florida, especially in lucrative sports like football, basketball and baseball, are jumping from school to school chasing playing time, winning teams, talented teammates, connected coaches and anything else that might put them on the radar of colleges, boosters and corporate sponsors with millions to spend.

This academic year alone, interscholastic officials recorded 7,028 athletic transfers, up from 5,688 last year. Elite football players often go through two or three schools, with some students transferring as many as eight times, according to a top organizer.

Kinsey: Drip…drip…drip…emailers told me I was crazy when I said we knew D1 high school sports would be dead in a few years. It will only drip downwards, just like the travel ball drips downwards. FOMO is kicking in, guys. If your kid isn’t on one of these top teams, you’d better find a spot in the B-level high school program.

But here’s the hook I see coming: High schools will distribute their programs to local club organizations that will be purchased by big investors. The cost of running these programs would be prohibitive for public high schools. Agreements will be made to fund the clubs through big investor money and parents willing to pay whatever it costs to be in these teams.

Your children will eventually become cheap labor that will bring huge profits to investors. Blind parents will fall into this trap.

How do you know that dying while riding an electric bike is not your day?

Thanks to Joseph in Elmira, NY for sending this e-bike video from Bradford, PA. I know some of you are hesitant to click videos because it is a waste of time. This is NOT a waste of time. Trust me. Calm down, he’ll survive. Control dismounting at impact.

End of middle school athletic season and beginning of vegetable season

– Greg from Nebraska shares: On Friday I went to my last middle school track meet of the year. Yes it was long. It started at 10 o’clock and ended at 4 o’clock. It looked much taller. My daughter did the long jump at 10:00 which was a good way to start the day. It finished at 10.15. Then at 4:00 he was waiting until 2:00, then about another hour waiting for 8:00. Then there’s another hour until the relay race. In other words, he was participating in activities for a period not exceeding 6 hours and 10 minutes in total.

I sat in my car with the air conditioning on while dealing with some work emails, so I was a little busy, but it was a challenge. I sat next to a father friend of mine. It was so much fun sitting with other parents and screaming for their kids and them screaming for my kids. Time was slow but we all made it.

After he was done, I went to see if he was going home with me or taking the bus. He saw me, came over and hugged me and was so happy I was there. I’m glad I was there. One of the nice things about the meeting was being able to see all the hot moms from other towns. Some of them were very impressive. I also stopped at a barbecue place and picked up some pork, brisket, ribs, and cornbread for the road. This was a great way to end the day.

I watch high school tennis all day Monday. So from 9 o’clock until 6 or 7 at the earliest. Think of Me 2 and know that I have 4-5 more hours.

It’s about the garden. Today, while we were on our Mother’s Day nap, my daughter and I planted tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries and peppers. I installed cattle panel cages. I will keep you updated on the growth.

Some of you are getting really old

Let this sink in today as you get one day closer to retirement. The VJs you watched in the early 1980s were exactly Social Security age and HIGHER.

food delivery world

– Brad S. says: I’m with Chris W. in California. I do not distribute food and I have educated my children accordingly. Now, since I work in food and beverage, I always tip when I buy food from the counter, even if it’s just a few dollars. I made a delivery exception a few weeks ago. I just had my knee replaced and couldn’t drive.

The wonderful Mrs. S and my son were at a school event and my daughter and I were landlocked. He wanted pizza. I didn’t have anything frozen so we decided on delivery. I ordered online and when tip was suggested I clicked zero, because I’m a cash guy and planned to give the driver a generous tip (due to my physical limitations). The website said pizza was 25 minutes away.

P minus 20 minutes later, I limped to the door and waited – cash was ready for the tip – and nothing happened. 25 minutes. 30 minutes… I opened the door to check in and sure enough the driver had arrived early and left our food on the small table we use for takeout deliveries. They never knocked on the door, didn’t ring the bell, nothing! I had $15 cash on hand to give them for a $42 order! This markets 101 delivery people! Ring the bell. Look into your eyes. Give them the goods. Plastic items, condiments etc. present. Thank you! Okay, that’s just me. Perhaps delivery companies discourage personal interaction because the psycho level has increased markedly. There must be some members of the SC family playing the delivery game. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

That’s it for this morning. It’s May 11th, and we’ve yet to see a warm-up where you can sit on the porch in shorts and a t-shirt after a long day working in the garden. I’m so ready for the 80’s. Is a gentle breeze too much to ask for? I won’t be picky. I would even go for 10 mph winds and 82 speeds.

Soon. Our patio is open and ready for summer. Now I just need temporary employees to cooperate. Let’s go after it.
