Billionaire investor Bill Ackman said the current market disruption has created one of the most attractive entry points for high-quality companies in recent years, encouraging investors to put macro fears aside and pursue what he sees as heavily discounted opportunities.

“Some of the highest quality businesses in the world trade at extremely cheap prices,” Ackman wrote in a post on X late Sunday. “This is one of the best times in a long time to buy quality. Ignore the bears.”

The Pershing Square Capital Management founder called US mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac “stupidly cheap” with the potential to deliver outsized returns in a relatively short period of time, noting what he described as a highly skewed setup in select names.

Ackman’s bullish stance comes as markets are reeling from rising energy prices, sticky inflation concerns and changing expectations for Federal Reserve policy. Recent volatility has caused valuations to fall across a number of sectors as economic uncertainty continues to cloud the outlook.

“One of the most one-sided wars in history will end well for the United States and the world. And we have the potential for a huge peace dividend,” Ackman said. he wrote.

President Donald Trump told investors he was hopeful that the end of the war against Iran was near. While the president added that “great progress has been made,” he also said that if a peace agreement is not reached “shortly” and the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened “immediately”, the United States will attack Iran’s key energy infrastructure.

The firm’s London-listed closed-end fund, Pershing Square Holdings, was down 19% year-to-date as of last Tuesday. the website showed.

Earlier this month, Pershing Square filed to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “PS,” a move that would give public investors direct access to the firm’s concentrated portfolio of large-scale investments.

The listing would effectively transform Ackman’s investment vehicle into a permanent capital structure, mirroring the model used by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway.
