Jennifer Lopez’s dress holds on for dear life at her Netflix event, Trump powers through some wine & Kay Adams

We enter the back half of the week safely, overcoming the bumps. Wow. We did it. Now, we’re gutting it out for another 24 hours and off we go to the races (on the weekend).
And hello! We even had a full day of NFL schedule leaks to bide our time! My favorite tradition of all seasons is happening right now. Right now, actually.
That’s when the NFL will announce its big 2026 schedule tonight at 7pm on ESPN, but everything will be leaked by beat writers throughout the day. So naturally, when it comes to broadcast television, this is now moot because we already know everything.
The best. It happens every year like clockwork. I would love this date on the calendar, but my Dolphins will probably be terrible this season, so I’m not expecting much. I do love a good 1pm kick-off though, and they’ll no doubt be getting plenty of those, so all is not lost.

Anyway, welcome to Thursday Night Entertainment, where Jennifer Lopez let herself sing during a Netflix event promoting her new romantic comedy coming out in a few weeks. I can’t wait!
What else? There’s Eric Church giving his all-time college speech, Charles Barkley yelling at America for being anti-gay, and Bryson DeChambeau having a MORNING at Aronimink. What happened to this man? Goodness.
Okay, grab a glass of wine with the president and get ready for Thursday ‘Hat’!
Jennifer Lopez has a new movie coming out for those who are interested
It always seems crazy to me to remember that Trump doesn’t drink. This is one of those random facts that you can easily forget, but when you remember, you’re always just as blown away.
I couldn’t imagine doing his job and not drinking. God, does this sound scary? Dealing with #THEMOB every day, not going home at night and not having a drink (hey!) seems almost impossible to me.
Just by watching this clip you can tell that she is never spoiled either. Look at his face after taking a sip. Pure disgust. He almost spits it back out.
It took every ounce of his strength to keep her down. Watch it again slowly. I’ve been there. I felt it. Your body doesn’t want anything to do with what you give it, but you have to keep it down. This is a war, and it’s not one you can always win.
But Trump won this, and that took courage. China trip is off to a good start! I have no idea what he’s doing there but I’m putting this in the win column.
Okay, let’s start this lesson by checking in with Jennifer Lopez, who is promoting her new Netflix movie, “Office Romance,” which none of you will be watching.

Eric Church gave a stirring speech at UNC
It looks like J-Lo’s score is still at 56, no doubt about it. Obviously, the co-star you see here is Brett Goldstein, who played Roy Kent in “Ted Lasso.” He also played a major role in “Shrinking,” which for some curious fans out there is the best show on TV right now.
Anyway, these two have a new Netflix romantic comedy coming out with a completely original script:
President and CEO of Air Cruz, Jackie runs a tight ship in her business, including a strict anti-fraternization policy for all employees. This policy is put to the test when a sexy new lawyer starts working for him.
I can’t wait!
OK, let’s cut the cord and head to Chapel Hill, where Eric Church gave the best commencement speech I’ve ever seen this past weekend.
I don’t usually get pensive and serious here – this might be the first time – but it’s worth it after a few minutes, when the kids are finally in bed and you’re surfing the web. King of Queens repeats:
PGA madness, MLB madness and Kay are ready for program release!
Wow, Nellie! What a speech. I don’t often stop and watch something for 18 minutes anymore. Is there anyone? But this morning I watched the whole thing. And then I watched it again.
you don’t understand university There are too many conversations like this now. This would probably be considered a comeback by today’s standards, especially on a college campus.
These places may be septic tanks. I don’t need to explain why because you all already know. That’s probably why these 10(ish) minutes I got from Eric Church were so refreshing.

Church spoke about faith, which is again a slippery slope in 2026; especially on a college campus. Librarians must be watching this.
Belief? Family? Morality? I’m sure they will all touch on these issues at the next DNC this summer!
Okay, let’s jump start this Thursday lesson into a big Thursday night. First? Let’s get it done!
What a great start to the tournament! Bryson is all over the map. We have men who miss match times. The men drive to the next county. Jason Day does Jason Day’s work. What a sport.
Almost as good as baseball! But after last night I think MLB is still on top… just barely:
Enjoy your meal. Unbelievable. I’ve never seen this happen to a first baseman. I’ve never seen that happen to an infielder, period. Just the Mets.
Baseball season is starting to heat up, boys and girls. The dog days of summer are just around the corner. Fasten your seat belts. We are facing a big event.
Until the NFL returns, of course. Remember a few minutes ago when I told you about all the leaks today? Well…
We already have all of Week 1, all of Thanksgiving week, and all of Christmas. And at the time of this writing, the “release show” is still six hours away.
Again, a tradition unlike any other.
Note: Why does the NFL think we should watch the Super Bowl rematch again? This was one of the worst Super Bowls in recent memory! Why do we need AGAIN to start the new season? I don’t understand you.
OK, that’s it for today. Happy Thursday lessons to everyone. Here Kay Adams is preparing for the broadcast of the program that will take us to a big night.
