TGBIE To Issue Tear-Proof Memos Soon

Haydarabad: As of next year, the TELANGANA Secondary Education Board (TGBIE) will receive a tear -induced and water -resistant transition certificate for students who have midterm exams.

The Board decided to increase the material used to print the transition certificate Cum Memorandum. The thickness of the article will be increased from existing 120 gsm to 180 GSM, significantly increase its durability and will last for a lifetime.

GSM means gram per square meter. Typically, 180 GSM paper is used for brochures and high quality photos. Anything below this thickness is considered thin.

Unlike the existing version that is prone to tear and damage from water, the new certificate will provide more protection than fluid exposure. The decision monitors repeated complaints about the damage of the certificates.

For example, the latest floods in the Mulugu Zone damaged the certificates and the Board issued free certificates to the affected students.

Another important change is to introduce a colorful photo of the student. The existing black and white passport -sized photo will help to better identify the color image.

New certificates will also carry the quick response (QR) code to strengthen safety and ease of verification. This embedded code will contain the student’s academic identity information and will direct users to the board’s website to confirm the originality of the certificate when scanned using a smartphone.

This feature is expected to facilitate verification by the government and private employers approaching the board of directors directly to verify the qualifications of employees.

TGBIE has already implemented QR code -based room tickets for this year’s intermediate public exams. This enabled the students to go to the exam centers easily, to see the distance they are located and to estimate their travel time according to traffic conditions.
