First-ever Consignment of Captagon Drug Worth Rs 182 Cr Seized: Amit Shah

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday announced that the Narcotics Control Bureau has seized the first consignment of Captagon, dubbed “Jihad Drug”, worth Rs 182 million. In a post on X, he said that the Modi government has decided to create a “Drug-free India”.

“I am pleased to share that through ‘Operation RAGEPILL’, our agencies have for the first time seized the so-called ‘Jihad Drug’ Captagon worth Rs 182 million,” Shah said.

“The raid on a drug shipment bound for the Middle East and the arrest of a foreign national stand out as shining examples of our zero tolerance commitment to drugs,” he said.

“I reiterate that we will clamp down on every gram of drugs entering India or leaving the country using our territory as a transit route. Thank you to the brave and vigilant warriors of NCB. @narcoticsbureau,” the minister said.
